Hï Ibiza has announced it will be enforcing a no phones policy during Damian Lazarus’ residency in their Club Room this Ibiza Season. The policy encouraging a phone free dancefloor starts this weekend.

According to the man himself, Damian Lazarus, it’s all about creating a one-of-a-kind experience where the only thing you need to worry about is letting loose and living in the moment. No distractions, no interruptions – just pure vibes. “From open to close we take pride in creating a totally unique environment, centered around the mystical Temple”, Lazarus wrote on Instagram, “it’s a proper session where we lose our inhibitions and can enjoy a sense of freedom as we enforce our groundbreaking “No Phones” policy inside the room”.

Crosstown Rebels frontrunner Lazarus shared the individual residency party lineups through the closing event on October 5th.

The introduction of a no phones policy is a big statement from Hï Ibiza, which has dominated as the No. 1 club in the world title holder for years now.

Preventing phones on the dancefloor, particularly to use the camera, is becoming increasingly common, adopted by clubs including Nowadays in New York and fabric and Fold in London, and more recently for certain events at Space Miami during Miami Music Week 2024. Back in 2018, a survey found that 70% of club goers hate people using their phones on the dancefloor.
