In a statement to EDM.com, Tomorrowland spokesperson Debby Wilmsen has clarified the ongoing speculation surrounding Tomorrowland’s purported expansion to Thailand.
Despite widespread reports, Wilmsen reveals that Tomorrowland has not yet confirmed any plans for a festival in Bangkok.
Numerous media outlets had previously cited Thai government spokesman Chai Wacharonke, suggesting that Tomorrowland was gearing up for debut in Thailand in 2026. However, Wilmsen emphasizes that while discussions and explorations are indeed underway, Tomorrowland is still in the preliminary stages of assessing the feasibility of such an event.
“In December, the Tomorrowland team had the privilege of engaging in discussions with various parties and exploring potential locations for a Tomorrowland festival in Thailand,” Wilmsen explains. While they are “deeply touched by the warm support, we must clarify the recent speculation: nothing has been officially confirmed or signed at this time.”
The Tomorrowland team is diligently conducting thorough research and exploration to assess the feasibility of hosting Tomorrowland in Thailand. There is still much to be investigated,” Wilmsen adds.
Wacharonke’s assertion that Tomorrowland’s alleged inaugural festival in Thailand would kick off a series of 10 consecutive editions remains unverified. As of now, there is no official confirmation from Tomorrowland regarding such plans.
While the prospect of Tomorrowland gracing the shores of Thailand is exciting for fans across the globe, it’s essential to await official announcements from Tomorrowland’s organizers. As the world eagerly anticipates the Tomorrowland’s evolution, stay tuned for further developments.
